This film is based on the poem, "Foreign" written by Aaima Azhar; it depicts the struggles faced by an immigrant muslim girl throughout her life. It focuses on the beauty in being a person of colour in a society permeated by discrimination. The film portrays a journey of self rediscovery, and the ever present privilege-centered and marginalizing social systems.
