Hia Alsaadi | Artists & Programming Director
Hia is the Programming & Artists Director at The Mosquers, now in her fourth year with the organization. Previously serving as the Events Director. As the Events Director, Hia was responsible for cultivating the look and feel for all of The Mosquers events and creating spaces that foster creativity, community, and appreciation for Muslim Artists. Hia brings a lot of knowledge from her previous volunteering experience working with Run for the Cure and United Way, where she helped plan and execute fundraising events and to bring awareness to the cause. In her current role, Hia is responsible for building relationships with Muslim artists from local, national, and international spheres, spanning various mediums and art forms. She leads the year-round programming, including the Vibe event series, and plays a critical role in sourcing featured artists for the main event weekend and other key events, such as the Opening Credits panel and the Popcorn showcase.
Joining The Mosquers was driven by a deep passion for uplifting and amplifying the voices of Muslim artists. Hia has remained committed to the organization because of the meaningful connections made and the opportunity to contribute to a platform that highlights the diverse and rich narratives within the Muslim artistic community.
