Everything Everywhere All at Once
sofia alani | Co-Chair
Sofia Alani serves as Co-Chair of The Mosquers, where her key responsibilities include developing the strategic vision for the organization, supporting the team both inside and outside of their Mosquers work, and co-hosting The Halal Gap podcast. Sofia has been part of The Mosquers since 2017 and has held the position of Co-Chair since 2020. She initially started as the Events Director, planning the main festival and the Popcorn After Party.
Sofia joined The Mosquers because she was excited to find a space where her faith and passion for the arts could come together. She found a community of people with shared values and experiences who loved art as much as she did. Sofia has stayed with The Mosquers because of the incredible community they have created, her commitment to working towards equity and inclusion in Muslim spaces and beyond, and her belief in the power of art to change hearts and minds. For Sofia, being able to platform and celebrate Muslim art and artists is a privilege, and she is dedicated to continuing this important work.
