Episode 9 - Omar Farah

This week's episode features a YEG local and Poetry King - Omar Farah! At 23 years old, Omar is a Somali-Canadian Award Winning Poet, Engineer-in-training, and community builder. He has managed to make a name for himself locally and abroad as the former Edmonton Slam Champion, winner of the Saskatchewan Festival of Words, and finalist in the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word. He has performed across Canada and the United states from small local cafe's to the Hard Rock.

On top of being a rising-star in the poetry scene, Omar has recently began to take his creative talents to more visual mediums. His most recent effort - a deeply personal and incredibly powerful piece - elegantly combines Omar's smooth lyrical deliveries with poignantly impactful imagery. The piece, titled "Show & Tell", can be found on Omar's YouTube page.
